Despicable Me 2 is a hilarious animated comedy starring Steve Carell, voicing for Gru (the main character in this movie), his three daughters: Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier), and Agnus (Elsie Fisher), and Lucy (Kristen Wiig), his co-worker and soon to be wife. His new mission is to save the world from being destroyed by crazy, hairy, purple “things” that are created from a stolen serum that originated from an Arctic laboratory and are injected into Gru’s minions. He succeeds in the end and gets married to his new-found love, Lucy. “Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s worldwide blockbuster Despicable Me entertained audiences around the globe in 2010, grossing more than $540 million and becoming the 10th-biggest animated motion picture in U.S. history.
